The 2 Coots Values

At 2 Coots Ranch, we’re more than just a family-owned and veteran-led operation. We’re a community cornerstone dedicated to fostering healthy living through fresh, high-quality ingredients. With strong roots in both community and national pride, our mission is to provide superior products while building a generational business that's here for the long haul.

Veteran Owned, Family Run

We're a veteran-owned ranch run by our family. The discipline and integrity we learned in the military? That's how we approach ranching. No shortcuts. No compromises. Our word is our bond.

This is hands-on work. We're out here every morning feeding animals, rotating pastures, and doing what needs doing. Our kids and grandkids know where food comes from because they see it first hand. That's how it should be.

We're not trying to build some fancy brand or create a "movement." We're just raising food the right way and selling it to families who care about the same things we do: clean food, honest practices, and people who keep their word.

Food That Makes You Healthier, Not Sicker

We're not here to sell you on some lifestyle or wellness trend. We just raise animals on pasture the way your great-grandparents did, and it turns out that makes better, healthier food. Imagine that.

Our animals eat what they're supposed to eat (including lots of grass, and NOT who-knows-what). They move around on fresh pasture instead of standing in their own filth. They grow at a natural pace without hormones or antibiotics pushing them to market weight faster and cheaper.

The result? Meat that's more nutrient-dense, tastes better, and doesn't come with a side of chemicals, drugs, and corporate BS. You eat it, you feel better. Pretty simple.

We're not "passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles". We're just ranchers who think food shouldn't make people sick. That's a pretty low bar, but apparently it's controversial these days.

We Support Our Community and Nation

When you buy from 2 Coots, your money goes to American ranchers... not corporate boardrooms. Every order supports the kind of agriculture that's disappearing: small operations where the people raising your food actually care about how it's done.

We buy from local suppliers when we can. We work with local processors. We hire local folks. Not because it's trendy or looks good on a website, but because that's how you run a ranch that's actually part of a place, not just dropped into it.

We're not going to pretend we're saving American farming. But we are proving there's still a market for ranchers who do things right. And every customer who chooses us over the grocery store helps make that case.

Doing Things Right (With Technological Embrace)

We raise animals on pasture because that's how it's supposed to be done. They eat grass, they move to fresh ground regularly, they live like animals instead of production units.

Is this "ethical"? Sure. But mostly it's just not being a jerk to animals or land. Pretty low bar, but apparently worth mentioning these days.

Our practices are regenerative. The land gets healthier the longer we're on it, not worse. The animals live good lives. The food is clean. We don't need a committee or a certification to tell us this is the right way. We just know it is.

As for technology? We use what works and skip what doesn't. If a tool helps us take better care of animals or land, great. We love fancy technology that helps with that. If it's just corporate agriculture dressed up as "innovation," we're not interested.

Building For The Long Haul

We're not building this ranch to sell it to some corporation in five years. We're building it to last. That means:

  • Improving the land, not mining it for profit
  • Building customer trust, not chasing trends
  • Doing things right, not fast
  • Thinking in decades, not quarters

Our kids and grandkids are seeing it, every step of the way. If they want to run this place someday, we want there to be something worth running: healthy land, good practices, customers who actually give a damn.

You're not "joining a family" by ordering from us. That's marketing BS we don't do. You're just supporting ranchers who care about doing this right for the long haul. Simple as that.

Thanks for supporting 2 Coots Ranch.

Together, we’re building a brighter, healthier future for our community and beyond.
