Decatur County is one of the poorest in Tennessee. The people there are trying to engage their community to join together and create place-based solutions to uplift everyone.
The American Legion Post 128 is part of this initiative.
They outfitted their small building and rent it to the local Head Start program. They maintain it and fix things, as needed. Financially, it's usually a wash (or even a loss) at the end of the year.
